About us

Set in the quiet, rural garden of a working farm in the hamlet of Marton, and situated close to Ulverston, Dalton and Barrow, Maidenlands Cattery, our home from home for your loved family member is easily accessible from the A590 in the South Lakes.

Carol has taken Feline Advisory Bureau (FAB) training to ensure that we provide a service that offers all your family complete peace of mind. We have the motivation and passion as animal lovers to guarantee that your pet’s stay will be a happy one.

Emma joined Maidenlands at the beginning of 2023 and is a welcome addition to the team. Emma who is Carol’s daughter in law is loving her part time roll and the cats seem to love her! (probably the Dreamies™ 😸) Emma also gets lots of help off her daughter Rosie as you can see below doing all the heavy work.

A Quiet Rural Setting

Maidenlands Cattery has been purpose – built to the highest standards with luxury chalets, which can house cats individually, or together where cats are from the same household and compatible.

All the chalets have spacious exercise areas and are fully equipped, overlooking the central garden area.

Really pleasant and clean place and the owner is also very friendly and knowledgeable, and clearly loves cats! I've taken our cat here twice now and wouldn't hesitate to do so again, and would highly recommend this cattery. Edit: I've taken our cat a few more times since the post above. A great cattery and the owner Carol is lovely. Definitely recommend.
